Build a routine around your working day

Use working hours, focus intervals and break durations to plan a desktop routine you can check and adjust in OptiBreak.

A break routine needs to fit the working day you actually have. Treat your first settings as a starting point to test, rather than a target you have to meet. This walkthrough shows how to use the schedule controls and history together without assuming that one set of intervals suits every person or task.

Define the window first

Set the start and end of your working hours before adjusting the focus interval. Check the time zone in the desktop app so the displayed hours match the computer you are using. If you use more than one computer, let the schedule sync and confirm the settings on each before testing your routine.

Adjust one part of the routine

Choose a focus interval and break duration that you can test during a normal work session. Keep at least one break activity enabled in the desktop app. If the routine interrupts at an awkward time, change one setting and try again. Changing several settings at once makes it harder to tell which adjustment helped.

Use history as a record

Check Activity after your desktop app has synced. Look at the date, duration and outcome of individual breaks rather than treating the total as a score. The seven-day summary and fourteen-day insight window describe different periods. Your older history stays available, but it does not determine what appears in the current insight window.
